What Makes Us Special?
Neptune Explorer Scout Unit, where our sea scout heritage takes centre stage, and aquatic adventures await during the spring and summer terms. Nestled along the picturesque banks of the Thames, we are privileged to have the perfect location for our water-based activities. Our diverse fleet of watercraft, including kayaks, canoes, bell boats, and pulling boats, promises thrilling experiences on (and in) the water.
As a Sea Scout unit, our scouts embrace the spirit of the sea, navigating the gentle currents of the river and exploring the wonders of its banks. Whether it’s gliding through the calm waters on kayaks or testing teamwork and coordination on bell boats, Neptune offers a wide range of watercraft to cater to every scout’s interests and skill levels.
Our base on the Thames allows us to embark on unforgettable aquatic journeys. We delve into the art of canoeing, mastering paddling techniques to glide gracefully along the river’s edge. Our pulling boats provide an opportunity for cooperative rowing, fostering a strong sense of unity among our scouts.
