Neptune Explorer Scout Unit is a Sea Scout Explorer unit based in Caversham, Reading, Berkshire. Established in 2018 as part of 1st Reading Scout Group — one of Berkshire's oldest Scout Groups, serving the community since 1909 — we combine over a century of scouting heritage with modern maritime adventure on the River Thames.
With Royal Navy affiliation (RN 83), we welcome young people aged 14 to 18 from Reading and the surrounding area. Whether you're new to scouting or an experienced explorer, there's a place for you in Neptune.
